How the quizzes work

Every Zyphe quiz uses the same scoring model. Each question has four answer options scored 0, 1, 2 or 3 points - from manual and reactive at the low end to real-time, automated and continuously monitored at the high end. We sum the points and place you in one of four tiers.

Question design draws on FATF Recommendations, the Wolfsberg Group Anti-Money Laundering principles, FinCEN guidance, and operating patterns we've observed across Zyphe customers in fintech, banking, crypto, marketplaces and gaming.

Pick the quiz that matches your top compliance concern - or take several. Each one takes about three minutes and produces a standalone report with tier-specific next steps.

The four result tiers

๐Ÿšจ At Risk
0โ€“9
Largely manual, reactive compliance with high fraud and audit exposure.
๐ŸŒฑ Developing
10โ€“17
Foundations in place but inconsistent automation and monitoring.
๐Ÿ’ช Solid
18โ€“24
Mostly automated and audit-ready, with room to optimise cost and UX.
๐Ÿ† Best-in-Class
25โ€“30
Mature, automated, continuously monitored compliance.

Why a structured compliance check matters now

KYC, KYB and AML enforcement has tightened across the EU (AMLA, MiCA), UK (FCA), US (FinCEN beneficial ownership rule), and APAC. At the same time, deepfake-driven synthetic identity fraud has made manual review and basic document checks insufficient on their own. A structured readiness assessment surfaces the specific gaps a regulator or fraud ring will exploit first - before they do.

Teams that score At Risk or Developing typically share a few patterns: manual review still dominates, drop-off is high but un-instrumented, screening happens only at onboarding, and the stack is a patchwork of three or more point solutions. Each of those is a fixable problem with a measurable ROI.

Each quiz maps your gaps to a recommended next step: a Zyphe product, a published guide, a webinar, or a conversation with our compliance team.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is a Zyphe compliance quiz?
Each Zyphe quiz is a short, scored assessment that measures how mature your KYC, KYB, AML or compliance-as-a-service programme is. You answer 10-12 multiple-choice questions, get a 0-30 score, a tier rating, and tier-specific next steps.
Which quiz should I take?
Start with KYC Readiness if you onboard individual consumers, KYB Readiness if you verify businesses, the combined KYC + KYB quiz if you do both, AML & Sanctions Readiness if your top concern is screening and monitoring, or Compliance-as-a-Service Maturity if you're considering outsourcing parts of compliance.
How long does each quiz take?
About three minutes. Questions are multiple-choice and based on day-to-day operating decisions - verification methods, manual versus automated review, screening cadence, audit-trail readiness, and tooling.
How does the scoring work?
Each question has four answer options worth 0, 1, 2 or 3 points. Scores are summed and mapped to one of four tiers - At Risk, Developing, Solid, or Best-in-Class - each with a written diagnosis and concrete next steps.
Are the quizzes free?
Yes. Every Zyphe quiz is free to take. We ask for a work email at the end so we can send you the full report and tier-specific recommendations.
Who are the quizzes for?
Compliance officers, MLROs, heads of risk, fintech and crypto founders, KYC and KYB operations managers, and product leaders responsible for onboarding. Anyone designing or running an identity, business-verification or AML programme.
